3. Cikarang River

There is only one location that was assessed in Cikarang River, which is Kp. Cikululu. Based on data in 2018, this river produces the east amount of glass-eel compared to another major river in Sukabumi District. Similar to Cileutuh River, direct road access to Cikarang River is limited due to terrain condition.

Kampung (Kp.) Cikululu

Kp. Cikukulu is located in Ciracap Subdistrict. Similar like Curug Awung, this area is an underdeveloped tourist site. Access to the location is relatively difficult with only few supporting tourist facilities. Vegetations, particularly at the opposite side of river, are very dense with no (or very limited) disturbance. On contrary, agricultural areas, fishponds, and few tourist facilities were established next to the assessed area. These man-built areas may produce additional nutrient inputs that may affect water quality condition in the river.
Small scale fisheries are quite common in this area, although eels usually are not the main target, particularly during the dry season.
